anybody konw how to integrate a trig function???? i tink it follows the same pattern as integration of a polynomial. ie just add 1 to the power and divide by the power. for example find the integral of cos 2x that is sin 2x^2/2. Wat
i was helping ah bredrin with ah maths problem and came across something interesting if the differential of cosx = -sinx then what is the differential of -cosx blogbakes help meh out na
moose i think that the differential of -cosx will be equal to sinx i'm not sure i'm guessing cuz if the differential of cosx = -sinx then -cosx = sinx correct if i wrong
The integration of sin x is cos x, and the integration of cos x is -sin x. but be careful that when u difrentiate 5 cos x = -5 cos x and not :5 -cos x , note as well if u have to defrentiate -cos x = sin x.
hey thanks space alien. that was a real simple example. i understand that but i know it get harder than that what about if you get an integration with sin x or cos x what do u do
ent integrating a trig function u must instead of subtracting the power you add and divide instead of multiplying the coefficient but what happens if you have sinx or cosx???
Why not allow our creator, Jesus, to show His love? Make Him your best friend by telling him the things you tell your best friend. When Jesus is part of your everyday life, well you are on top of the world. The best things will happen and the trials will be testing but the best for you will prevail.

MAY I PLEASE ASK SOMEONE TO POST AND EXAMPLE OF INTEGRATION.I WAS NOT WELL AT THE TIME WHEN IT WAS TAUGHT.IM WILIING TO LEARN IF YOU ALL WANT TO HELP.
GIVE IT ATRY COKE BABY
well moose first time i saw -cosx and i think it is a really interesting comment you made.
you have me thinking now.
To marz
intregration is oppsite function to differentiation eg. when you differentiate y= 4x^2
dy/dx = 8x
but when you intregrate you increase the power by 1 and then
divide the coefficient by the power eg. y = 4x^2
dy/dx =4x^3/3
hey thanks space alien. that was a real simple example.

Well the integral of sinx =-cosx but cos x = sin x
I think
If any one wishes to make corrections by all means go right ahead.
∫(3√x+1/2√x-1/4)dx
Can anyone help me in solve such an integration problem as this one?

EVERYONE!!!!!.....................
what is the difference when you integrate cosx and -sinx?
space alien that question u put up looking reel hard wheyy
small ting i go try for your sake and mine
remember 3 root x = 3x^1/2
and 1/2 root x = 1/2x^-1/2
so here what with these conversions or rather rearrangements
see if u cld solve it na
ps how are u getting square root sign to post your keyboard reel bad lol
Dante I am a bit confused with that question hmm le me see
I think the difference is due to the signs ????
to do your sum sapce alien all you have too do is first simplify the expression whereas change the sq. roots to 1/2 then integrate like normal.
